Dear Sisters, Alumnae, Friends, and Visitors,
I would like to be the first to welcome you to the University of Akron’s longest standing Greek Organization, Kappa Kappa Gamma. Lambda Chapter began on this campus in 1877 and continues to thrive on tradition, leadership, academics, and friendship.
We are proud of our diverse chapter of women who come from not only the Buckeye State but all over our beautiful country. Through Kappa Kappa Gamma, our sisters are afforded the opportunity to participate in meaningful philanthropy events, engage in intimate sisterhood events, and experience college life to the fullest. Kappas seek to grow and mature as women, learning from one another every step of the way.
Kappa has been the most meaningful and life changing college experience for myself. I have found my study buddies, my best friends, and the little sister I never had. I am thankful that Kappa has allowed me the opportunity to be a part of this special sisterhood and continue to lead our chapter towards greatness. It is within these walls that I have found comfort away from home, shared many laughs, and grown to become a better woman.
In our chapter you will find aspiring engineers, world travelers, and many more amazing women who continue to strive for bigger and better things. Kappa continues to push our women to be the best they can be - in their studies, friendships, and community. It is our honor to be a part of such an amazing group of women. As individuals, we bring our unique experiences and expertise to Kappa. As an organization, we make a difference.
